FAQs
Who is my coaching for?
The short version: If you’re reading this right now, it’s likely for you. The longer version: ambitious and curious humans ready to reimagine what is possible. The labels my clients often hold include founder, entrepreneur, creative, changemaker, and seeker. Above all else, my clients are committed to the coaching process and bring their full selves to our working relationship.
How long is an engagement?
Every coaching relationship is unique. Three months and beyond is often enough time for meaningful progress. Everyone is different, so together we decide what makes the most sense. Think of me as a co-pilot — the cadence and duration of our work are shaped collaboratively.
How often do we meet?
It depends. Everyone has a pace they prefer, and this can change throughout a coaching relationship. Some clients choose to speak every month, while others prefer more or less space between our sessions. We sync in a way that serves you best. In between conversations, I make myself available via email and WhatsApp, and we also share a log and playbook.
Where do we meet?
Most of my sessions are virtual and often voice-only. I encourage my clients to find a calm and restful space or, even better, to go for a walk. This is not your typical ‘work’, this is inner work and as such deserves a conducive and welcoming environment. Sessions take place over Hangouts or by phone. I leave it up to you based on your preference, and I am happy to do video calls or meet in person if we are in the same city.
How long is a session?
The short answer: it depends. The longer one: Our coaching sessions last as long as there is work for us to do. Typically, an hour is enough to get stuck in, and yet sometimes we will need or want to go longer.
What’s the investment?
A five-session coaching cycle, with ongoing support, is $4,500 USD. If this investment is a stretch, let’s chat, and we can discuss options. The right fit matters more ot me than the fee.
How much time do I have to invest in coaching?
Like anything in life, you’ll get out of this what you put into it. Unfortunately, there is no hack (that I’m aware of) for doing the work. Coaching includes not only the sessions but also the preparation and follow-up. To make meaningful progress toward the future you envision, you can expect to put in the work on an ongoing basis. Accountability is a crucial aspect of any coaching relationship, and we identify the best accountability mechanisms for you. I provide reflections on what we discuss and invitations to dive deeper.
What are your qualifications?
I believe that being a partner, coach, and facilitator are the instruments I was put on this earth to play. I am a Co-Active Institute (CTI) trained coach, a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation(ICF), a Next Stage Intensive™ Integral Facilitator with Ten Directions, an ORSC trained systems coach, and an Inner Team Dialogue Practitioner and Positive Intelligence coach. I’ve been practicing Vedic meditation for ten years and am a certified yoga instructor (500-hr YTT). And while I have studied philosophy, marketing, design, business, education, human development, and psychology, it’s my curiosity, candor, and care that clients tell me they appreciate most.
What is your coaching style?
My style is caring, candid, and courageous. Since every client is different with unique backgrounds, experiences, values, circumstances, challenges, and opportunities, I move between inquisitor, thought partner, sounding board, and provocateur. I believe that all human beings are naturally creative and resourceful, and my aim, which is reflected in my style, is for you to flourish.
Do you have a specific approach?
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to coaching. While I draw on proven frameworks, I believe you are inherently wise and resourceful in determining the best path forward. My immediate goal is to help you develop novel perspectives and approaches rather than providing advice or answers. I tailor the approach based on your context, challenges, experiences, cultural norms, values, and knowledge. We partner in co-designing our coaching relationship.
How do you measure results?
We get clear on what success looks like and check in regularly to ensure we are on track. If we discover we are moving in a different direction, we may course correct or reset our metrics of success. Past clients successfully report feeling clearer, inspired, empowered, and resilient to move forward and realize their dreams.
Do you do team coaching?
Yes. Through my company, Social Fabric, I work directly with teams and groups on culture, leadership, collaboration, and work design. This includes facilitation, strategic insight, and custom-designed engagements.
What does a typical session look like?
There are loads of models for coaching conversations. I’m listening for the signals, the things that are not spoken, and always for what is emerging. The process I favor dates back to the Socratic method. This means, among other things, deliberate inquiry, open-hearted dialogue, and generous, powerful questions. I talk straight because clarity is kind; I listen deeply, as that’s what you hired me for; and I care immensely because this is my life’s work. You can learn more about my approach here.
How do we get started?
Before we get started, I will send a standard coaching agreement, an invoice for our agreed sessions, and any other resources or materials that are relevant to you. During our first session, we design our partnership so that we know what success looks like, measurements for progress, and paths we will explore to get there. We agree on logistics and address any questions before moving forward. You can find a time in my calendar here.
